Cartridges
Available in a very wide range of materials appropriate to different
applications. Our range includes:
Precision stainless steel wire mesh -
for filtration of liquids containing occasional particles, e.g. cloudy
apple juice where there is a risk of stray insects. It is strongly
recommended that stainless steel mesh cartridges are used in line between
juice holding tanks and bottle filling machines. Easy to maintain and
very long life.
Spun polypropylene (depth filter) -
for relatively coarse filtration from 5 micron down to 0.5 micron.
Can be used for filtration of water where there may be a risk of
suspended solids. Usually used as pre-filter before a more expensive
membrane filter.
Polyethersulphone pleated membrane -
for precision final filtration of beverages to ensure the absence of
yeast cells prior to bottling, typically down to 0.45 micron. This
type of filter is not a substitute for pre-filtration with either a
plate, depth or diatomaceous earth filter.
Granular activated carbon cartridges
are used for removal of chlorine from water.
