Thread Guide

DIN (Deutsches Institute für Normung), also known as NW, suitable for hygienic use and CIP (cleaning in place).

RJT
(rubber joint thread), known in Australia as BSM (British Standard Milk), suitable for hygienic use and CIP.

BSP
(British Standard Pipe) N.B. BSP is not a fixed standard and is available in both tapered and parallel forms. The tapered form is designed for permanent connections and is not regarded as hygienic. The parallel thread form is fitted with a seal and is designed for use where fittings are removed on a routine basis.

Mainz A relatively obscure thread sometimes fitted to equipment sourced in Germany. Warning: superficially similar to BSP.
