Posts and Anchors
Steel posts

posts. We sell only Leova posts, the strongest vineyard post available.
These posts are made from hot-dipped, galvanised steel, 1.5mm thick and
corrugated for additional strength. Leova posts are thicker and heavier
than the competition, weighing 1.77 kg per metre of length. Please compare
this with the competition when making your decision. The stability and
strength of the posts permits wider spacing between posts, leading to
lower density per acre and corresponding cost savings. The posts have
a life expectancy of at least 25 years. Various lengths are available
to suit different soils and trellising systems. Please ask for a quotation.
End post tens

Screw anchors

steel, easy to insert, providing good support to end posts. Other sizes

Fenox anchors

where screw anchors are not feasible.
Anchor-fast system
Anchor-Fast system, a fast and easy method
of securing end posts to anchors; consists of a length of galvanised wire
rope with a looped end and a rope grip.
Wire
Wire
 With
an expected vineyard life of more than 20 years, it is a false economy
to use fencing wire with a lower life expectancy. We sell only aluminium/zinc
coated vineyard wire with a guaranteed life of either 2 times or 4 times
that of heavily galvanised wire made to BS443. This wire is specifically
made for use in vineyards. All wire is sold in 25 kg rolls. Please ask
for a quotation; the price will depend on the quantity purchased.
  
Dispenser wheel
 Wire dispenser wheel. It is very
difficult to dispense wire without a wheel. With the use of this wheel
on tripod legs, the wire can be drawn off without kinking or twisting.
Cutters

and pressed steel handles with non-slip grips. 
Joiners/tensioners
wire joiners/tensioners.  The Gripple range of products offers
a fast and very convenient method of tensioning, joining and repairing
trellising systems. The use of Gripples can dramatically reduce the cost
of labour when establishing and maintaining a vineyard. Most conventional
tensioning methods involve tightly twisting the wire, which eventually
weakens the wire. The use of Gripples eliminates kinking and tight bends,
ensuring that the wire operates at full strength for its expected life.
Gripples are galvanised for long life. The Gripple tensioning tool is
required for initial fitting of the Gripple and any subsequent retentioning.
Releasable Gripples can be ‘unlocked’, allowing the wire to be slackened.
The plastic twisters can be used to secure the wire end to the main wire,
and the workbelt is designed to hold the Gripple range.

 Hook
nails, galvanised steel, secures wire to intermediate wooden posts.
 Twist
wire, plastic coated, green, a quick method for securing vine supports
