Ludlow Brewery Company - Comac K2 Keg Washing & Filling Machine

Ludlow Brewery Company - Comac K2 Keg Washing & Filling Machine

The Brief

As production at Ludlow Brewing Company continued to grow, thanks to the release of their first lager, Latitude 52, they needed to modernise their kegging operations to increase throughput and consistency while reducing manual handling. It was also important that the machine could save energy where possible, as they pride themselves on their efforts to reduce carbon output.

The Solution

We supplied the Comac K2 Keg Washing & Filling Machine. The system's dual-head design allows one keg to be filled while the other is washed, significantly reducing cycle times. The K2 had the option to install a rinse-recovery tank, which we opted for to cut down on energy, water and effluent costs.

The Result

'Up until now, our keg filling was entirely manual, so it’s been a huge overall benefit having a semi-automatic machine on site. The sales and engineering teams at both Vigo and Comac were fantastic to work with, and we were able to get all the modifications and tweaks we were after. A professional experience from start to finish.' – Cody Palin, Head Brewer, Ludlow Brewery Company
