The Brief
Harrow Wood Farm in Dorset is run by Richard Frampton. Richard approached us with the view to setting up a complete cider production facility on site, as an aside from his main business. He was interested in producing a consistently high-quality product and wanted equipment that would help him to meet this goal without involving excessive amounts of manual labour. Richard’s cider production aims were:
- 7,000 litre annual production
- As automated as possible
- Minimal labour
- Future-proofed to increase output rapidly
The Solution
We supplied and installed a complete cider production line including a Voran BRM cleaning & sorting table, a Voran EBP350 belt press & SA200 wash mill, Speidel tanks with temperature control (including Chiller 25 chiller), an in-bottle pasteuriser, a Technibag Bib-up Top 290 bag-in-box filler, a 4 head a gravity bottle filler, an in-bottle carbonator, VL/1 labelling machine, filter housing assembly, and Schneider pump.
The Result
‘Vigo specified the correct kit and delivered on what they promised. They were honest and up-front with pricing and kept me fully informed and up to date throughout. I was fully advised on when things would arrive, and they arrived on that day. Vigo’s engineers are brilliant and their knowledge is second to none. I’ve found they have been willing to do anything they can to help whilst on site.' - Richard Frampton
