Spotlight: Tibico Fermentary

We’re very proud to have supported Tibico Fermentary over the years, as they realise their vision of creating natural, quality fermented drinks that not only benefit your health but respect the natural environment.

Specialising in whole‑fruit fermented water kefir, these natural health drinks are designed to support and restore gut health. Unlike kombucha, Tibico’s process is anaerobic, encouraging a lactoferment that aligns more closely with the human microbiome.

Each bottle contains upwards of 60 billion prebiotic bacteria and yeasts but as importantly, Tibico focuses on postbiotic and metabolise metabolism during second stage fermentation. Customers have reported improvements in a wide range of conditions including IBS, diverticulitis, bloating, acid reflux, sleep issues, low energy, and more. Many also credit Tibico with supporting immune function, stabilising metabolism, and aiding digestion.

The impact has been so significant that NHS England has approached Tibico to conduct research into the product’s benefits, based upon the positive impacts reported by their 50,000 plus customers.

Scaling to Meet Demand

Production currently stands at 40,000 bottles per month, with projections to reach 50,000 per month by the end of May. To keep pace, this July, the entire operation will move into a single, much larger facility, consolidating production and unlocking the capacity needed for the next phase of growth.

A Partnership in Growth

Over the years, Tibico has invested heavily in specialist equipment and consumables from Vigo to support their expansion, including:

3x Enolmaster vacuum filler

2x Benchtop ROPP cappers

2x VL/1 semi-automatic labellers

2x 4-head in-bottle carbonators

2x glycol chillers

9x 600-litre fermentation eggs (increasing to 12 in July)

40x 110-litre BO variable-capacity tanks

136x Gold ROPP cap (5800) - totalling 788,800 caps

What began as a small-scale operation has developed into one of the UK’s fastest growing producers of fermented health drinks. We look forward to continuing to support this innovative brand as it makes a significant difference in people’s lives.
