The Brief
Tutts Clump Cider is a family run business, which has won numerous awards including CAMRA Cider awards. The family were using a Voran Pack Press with mill, but wanted to upgrade to an automatic milling/pressing line to speed up the process and make it more efficient. Co-owner Tim Wale's production aims were:
- To increase pressing capacity to 700 kg/hr
- An efficient, automatic pressing system
- Semi-auto bag in box filling equipment
The Solution
To fulfil and increasing bag-in-box and pouch demand, there was also a requirement for a semi-automatic bag in box and pouch filling machine.
We supplied, installed and comissionined a complete automatic pressing line and bag in box filler, consisting of a Voran GKE Bin Tipper, a Voran sorting table with hopper, a Voran WA LC Washmill/Elevator, a Voran EBP500 belt press capable of pressing up to 700 kg/hour, a Vigo pomace conveyor, an Okoflow impeller pump, and Technibag Sympaty Top 320 bag-in-box/pouch filler.
