Vigo Through The Years

We are proud to have been supporting producers for 40+ years.

Take a look at our history to date:

1984

Vigo started at Bollhayes Park, we were founded by prize-winning cider maker, Alex Hill.

1989

We secured our exclusive UK sales agreement with Voran, the industry leader in commercial apple processing.

1990

We partnered with Speidel, globally renowned manufacturers who have been manufacturing high quality beverage tanks for over 100 years.

1996

We moved to Hemyock to increase warehousing and engineering space due to expansion.

2002

We moved to Dunkeswell.

The 20,000 feet of office, warehouse and workshop space at Dunkeswell enabled us to grow and continue to provide producers with efficient equipment and spare parts supply.

2016

We partnered with ABE Beverage Equipment (American Beer Equipment) to bring canning and brewhouses into the supply chain.

We work with ABE as they are a leading original equipment manufacturer and are renowned in the field.

2016

Our largest project to date

We were proud to partner with The Newt in Somerset — one of England's most celebrated countryside estates — on the biggest project in our history: a complete cidery, specced to the highest standard, designed to be both a world-class production facility and an immersive visitor attraction.

The four-year project gave The Newt a state-of-the-art pressing, fermentation cellar and bottling facility where guests can explore the heritage and craft behind every bottle.

2017

We sold Vigo Presses Limited to a private investor, a strategic move to focus on the commercial sector.
