Champagne corks start life with a cylindrical shape. The bottom third is inserted into the bottle using a Champagne corker (see links below), leaving the remaining two thirds of the cork protruding, to be compressed when the wire muzzle (cage) is applied. With time the corks take on the familiar mushroom shape.

  • 48 mm high x 30.5 mm Ø, with two natural cork discs and agglomerate top
  • Available in packs of 1,000 or boxes of 2,000

Please note, branding is available on larger orders - please call us on 01404 892 100 for more information.

Use with the Champagne Wire Muzzles/Cages With Cap (part code 98819 or 91676), available separately.

NB It is not usually possible to use a conventional corking machine for champagne corks. For suitable corking machines for these corks, please see those specifically for 'sparkling wine/cider' in Corkers .

Please see Closures for champagne crown caps, champagne wire muzzles/cages, & champagne foils.
