Guide for use:

Gauge for 26mm crowns:

  • If the applied cap doesn’t fit in the PASS hole, it is under-crimped
  • If the applied cap fits through the PASS hole – correct application
  • If the applied cap also fits through the NOMINAL hole – capper may need adjusting as it is nearing over crimping
  • If the applied cap also fits through the FAIL hole – cap is over-crimped

Gauge for 29mm crowns:

  • If the applied cap doesn’t fit in the PASS hole, it is under-crimped
  • If the applied cap fits through the PASS hole – correct application
  • If the applied cap also fits through the FAIL hole – cap is over-crimped
  • Stainless steel
  • Gauge for 26mm crowns includes FAIL / NOMINAL / PASS holes
  • Gauge for 29mm crowns includes FAIL / PASS holes
