This chromatography kit is a simple kit to determine (qualitatively) the fermentation process of malic acid in wines. One drop of the wine is applied to a paper which is soaked vertically in a few millimeters of special solution. The liquid rises by capillary action and drives the compounds by separating them. Once dried, you can view the progress of 'malo'. When the 'malos' are completed, the wine is biologically stabilized. It takes 1 to 2 hours for one test. The kit includes:

  • Glass dome
  • Reagent solution (1 x 125ml)
  • 25 paper sheets 15 x 10cm for 100 to 120 tests
  • Petri dishes (1 x 120mm ; 1 x 80mm)
  • 25 plastic pipettes
  • Paper clips

NB Should you require an extra set of papers, you can order Chromatographic Papers - part code 94272.
